The Pronouns Behind Pretty How Town

Anyone Lived In A Pretty How Town is a poem written by Edward Estlin Cummings, more known as E.E. Cummings, an artistic genius whose works seem to be incomprehensible at first. But as one get to dissect the hidden message in his poems, he will appreciate the beauty of his artistry.

However, these pronouns are actually just a disposition of the narrative that the situation involves a generalization of gender: males for someones and females for everyones and these pronouns are not citizens of the suggested community of How town. The four seasons; summer, winter, autumn and spring denote the timeline for this poem. It suggests that as the reader reads from one stanza to another, time passes quickly in the setting of the poem: Pretty How Town.
